PDF/Mergician Professional Version 4

What's New!

PDF/Mergician Professional 4 improves upon version 3 in the following main areas:

  • Ease of Use - The user interface has been overhauled such that frequently used tasks are easier to find and use.

    Settings are clearly seperated in tabs.

    Often used expression are just 2 clicks away with the new Common Expression Bar.

    A new crumbbar has been added that shows your current position in the merge project. It provides fast and easy access to parent, child and sibling nodes.

  • Page styles - Add common elements such as watermarks, page numbers to pages using page styles.
  • Format specifications - Custom formatting is now specified once and used many times. This makes your merge projects easier to comprehend and maintain.

  • Bookmarks - Add bookmarks to your output (PDF) document.
  • IIS 7 - PDF/Mergician WebService now integrates automatically in IIS 7. No need to configure anything!
  • Windows 7 - PDF/Mergician is now supported on the latest Windows version.

License change

The End User Application of version 4 is now activated per user account (where previous versions activated per PC). This means that with 1 End User Application license one user can use PDF/Mergician on all its PC's provided the same user account it used.

Compatibility

This version can be installed next to PDF/Mergician Professional 3.x. You cannot upgrade your existing PDF/Mergician 3.x installation, a full install is required. After installation, PDF/Mergician Professional 4 will associate itself with the .PMF extension and double-clicking such a file will start PDF/Mergician Professional 4 instead of PDF/Mergician Professional 3.x.

PDF/Mergician Professional 4 is compatible with project files created in previous versions. Projects created or modified in PDF/Mergician Professional 4 cannot be used in earlier versions!

Upgrade pricing

Existing PDF/Mergician Professional 3 customers with a valid upgrade subscription can upgrade for free.

Existing PDF/Mergician Professional 3 customers without a valid upgrade subscription can upgrade to this version at a discount. All customers who bought PDF/Mergician Professional 3 after December 1, 2008 will receive a free upgrade.
